If there were 99.9% of the guys here on the site have run em off by now. Hmmm.... maybe that could also be a reason why there arent many female riders, maybe they'd rather not be hovered over like a bunch of gorillas fighting over the last apple. She's pretty and they've filmed her in a négligé with 'stiffies'. Of course people are going to comment.
I'm not grumbling, she's lovely, but it's got nothing to do with the sport, or that race, or her as a racer, so fair game.

Thats very true. I'm just saying most of the comments I read when it comes to an article on a girl remind me exactly of the group of guys standing there with a hard on when they see a girl at a club. You know the same type of guys that try to dry hump the girl on the dance floor lol. I agree with you yonibois, she is super hot but you dont see me posting an ignorant comment about it like most other people have. But I totaly agree.... lycra should be outlawed unless its a sexy rider like in this video.

I wouldn't normally have commented, but when it's filmed in Europe by a 'film crew' from LA and they do nothing else for 3 days I would expect a little more. The thing that I noticed first were the jerky camera moves.... I know a lot of filmers on Pink Bike that do better work than this. But because it was filmed by pros for entry into film festivals I also judge it a lot more critically. I could go on but I won't...

Thought the same thing... 100 hours of footage to edit down to 3 minutes (less counting credits).... wow. It was put together pretty good (better than I can do - for the moment), but I expected a lot more. Not too impressed either. I've seen lots better on here for sure.

Well the german describtion on the Toppeak site reads a little different, apart from some more boasting it says "the crew (...) needed 3 days of shooting an hundreds of hours in post production" So I guess zee translator failed.

Apart from some other minor differences, the last statement reads: "Race Day will be shown in 2011 at important short film festivals".
To me this seems like some silly marketing idea, shoot a brand commercial (question: how many times could you see the brand "Toppeak" during the movie?) and then go boast how its a pro short film (The crew is from L.A. *gasp*) to make more people watch it. The credits even have the exact same layout as the Toppeak webpage. Yeah right.

Im not saying we're being lied to, Im just saying get your advertising concepts down to earth again, its better to surprise positively.

awesome editing and footage. as if the race was staged just to make a video which really is an actual race. needs more action footage though. can't believe the hard tail is still a alive and kicking in the XC world specially with that type of terrain. probably there are portions where they can sprint or there's a lot of climbing where a full suspension would just bog them down.
